Album Release Party #1!
JPJQ Team Portland is sounding great! Much as I'm a bit sad that we can't do the very first performance launching this album with the amazing guys on the left side of the above photo (Team Vancouver's Max Ley and Andrew Smith), we had a rehearsal with Team Portland (which includes Julia, Adam, Timothy Van Cleave and Kevin Karrick, with special guests Stan Bock and Katie Presley) on Monday night and it was amazing! Great musicians and even greater people!
The album is almost ready (yes, we're cutting it a bit tight - the CDs will be ready April 26th for a CD release party on May 4th- eep!) and we can't wait to share it with you! So if your Indiegogo Perk included a copy of the physical CD, you should expect them to arrive soon after the 1st of the month!
Then, on Wednesday, May 4th (May the Fourth be with you), JPJQ will be debuting I Want Love at the gorgeous Vie De Boheme Wine Bar and Restaurant (1530 SE 7th Ave, Portland). The show starts at 8pm - cover is $7, which goes to the band. We've booked a photographer so if you're not in the Portland area, you'll be able to check it out here or on our Facebook Page, soon after the show!
It seems like most of our supporters have already downloaded the album, so stay tuned for your chance to buy the album direct from our website - gosh the interwebs are cool!
Finally, big congrats to Team Vancouver's amazing drummer, Max Ley, who did his graduation recital at VCC today. Adam and I wish we could have been there, but we hear it was (almost) as amazing as he is! We're so looking forward to playing with him again June 23rd, when we are having our Vancouver Album Launch party!
